About CareNgen

Built from experience.
Designed for scale.

CareNgen exists because we lived the problem before we built the solution. We know what it costs — in time, in stress, in work hours — when there is no structured guidance through an aging parent’s care. And we know that millions of employees and their employers are absorbing that cost silently, every day, without infrastructure to manage it.

"We didn't build CareNgen because we saw a market gap. We built it because we experienced the absence of something that should have existed — and couldn't stop thinking about everyone else navigating the same absence, alone, at work."

— CareNgen Founding Team

Our Origin

We didn't start with a thesis. We started with a problem we couldn't solve.

The founding of CareNgen begins where most eldercare stories begin: with a phone call that changes everything. A parent’s health changes suddenly. The decisions that need to be made — about safety, about care settings, about finances, about family — arrive all at once, and there is no roadmap.

The CareNgen founding team experienced this firsthand — not once, but across multiple family situations over several years. What struck them was not just the personal difficulty, but the professional impact: the hours lost at work to researching facilities, the distracted meetings, the days taken off to handle situations that proper navigation could have resolved in a fraction of the time.

When they began speaking with other professionals about their own experiences, the pattern was unmistakable — a near-universal condition among employees in their forties and fifties, largely invisible to their employers, and almost entirely unsupported. The gap was not a lack of caring. It was a lack of infrastructure.

CareNgen was built to close that gap — not with sympathy, but with structure. Not with a hotline, but with a platform. Not for a few executives, but for every employee in an organization who is navigating the most consequential care decisions of their lives while trying to remain present at work.

Our Mission

To give every employee the structured guidance they need to navigate aging care — and every employer the tools to support them.

Eldercare navigation is not a luxury. It is a fundamental need that touches the majority of the workforce, compounds in cost when unaddressed, and is fully solvable with the right infrastructure. Our mission is to make that infrastructure universally accessible — equitably, at scale, across organizations of every size and industry.

Our Vision

A world where no employee faces the caregiving journey without structure, and no employer absorbs its cost without recourse.

We envision a future where eldercare support is as standard as mental health parity — a baseline expectation at every employer that takes its workforce seriously. Where the hidden tax of caregiving is not a permanent fixture in workforce economics, but a solved problem.

Our Core Values

The principles that govern how we build, how we serve, and how we grow.

These are not aspirational statements. They are the specific commitments we hold ourselves to in product decisions, customer relationships, and organizational culture.

🤝

Value 01

Compassion First

Every person who uses CareNgen is navigating something genuinely hard. We design every interaction — every piece of guidance, every interface decision, every support touchpoint — with that reality at the center. Efficiency matters. Empathy comes first. When the two are in tension, empathy wins.

👨‍👩‍👧

Value 02

Family-Centered

The best care decisions are made by informed, aligned families — not by isolated individuals improvising under pressure. We build for the entire family ecosystem: the primary caregiver at work, the sibling managing from a distance, the spouse carrying secondary load. Our tools bring families together.

🔬

Value 03

Evidence-Based

Eldercare is a domain full of well-intentioned but poorly substantiated advice. CareNgen’s guidance is grounded in research, clinical best practices, and the operational realities of care delivery. When the evidence is ambiguous, we say so. When it is clear, we act on it — even when doing so is less convenient.

📈

Value 04

Continuous Growth

The landscape of aging care is in continuous change. CareNgen is built to evolve alongside it. We measure outcomes, we study failures, we update our platform when the evidence demands it. The commitment we make to employers is not to a static product, but to a continuously improving one.
